Karl & Jeremiah (Sacramento, CA) are punk-rockin, tree-huggin, creative professionals
with digital exploration in our blood (type 10101+). We are experiential by nature, hardwired for fun, omnivorous with media and ambidextrous with our noggins.
Karl put himself through school on a series of video art scholarships, earning a degree in Multimedia Production and Photography. He’s broken at least one bone in his body for every sport he attacks including rock climbing, mountain biking, snow boarding, and hammock stretching.
Jeremiah is a Sacramento SAMMIES winning musician who tripped over a camera one day unleashing a hidden passion. Music is a powerful component in his visual storytelling style, developed over 1000’s of miles on the road and backstage with high-profile performers. In the mind of Mayhew, the bassline, the rhythm and the beat comprise the supporting cast of his melodic visuals. Jeremiah credits his mother, once a ballerina, for his interest in figure skating.

Team Kinetic formed in a moment of creative frustration,
each of us seeking someone who operated on the same frequency, in sixth gear, all the time. Our immediate connection produced a series of community-based video histories which fused our skills.
Team Kinetic’s creative process often involves uncovering the obscure local music and art scene in their home city and wherever they travel. Looking for rockin new tunes in Vancouver is on our Hot List for sure.
Karl & Jeremiah see the 2010 Winter Games as a world-class buffet of cultures, languages, athletes and spectators, all stewed together in a fantastic city on the hottest snow on planet Earth. Our simple goal as Samsung Mobile Explorers is to represent the U.S. and taste as many of those international flavours as we can, telling our story at 30 frames per second. Starting with some ketchup chips.
We will illustrate our stereoscopic appreciation for the art of video and craft of storytelling in our posts and updates as we discover our WOW moments.

- Karl has a degree in photography and multi-media production, has a degree in island history and cross-cultural communication from the University of Puerto Rico and is a certified and licensed Interpretive Tour Guide with the Puerto Rico government.
- He’s managed ground truthing teams during a hyperspectral imaging project involving the Proteus, Fish and Wildlife, and the brightest bioluminescent bay on planet earth. Posted data and results to databases for NOAH, NASA and universities all over the planet.
- He’s co-piloted a vintage ‘59 Cessna across the entire Bermuda Triangle with nothing but a hand-held GPS and some paper maps (and the best pilot/photographer in town, Tony Bennett), blogging and video-taping from the cockpit and seriously remote locations. The flight continued across the lower states and included a fly-in vintage aircraft festival and a stop in New Orleans.
- He’s scouted new snorkel/diving/biking/climbing destinations for adventure outfitters, filming black tipped sharks and unexploded ordinance on Good Friday at a geographical vertice of the Bermuda Triangle.
- He’s got enough stories of is own (while gathering stories for others) to fill “1001 Viequense Nights”
